Albright Kendrick will not discriminate against our clients and whilst as a business we are at liberty to decide whether or not to accept instructions from any particular client, where we decide not to accept instructions this will not be on the basis of any protected characteristics.

 

Albright Kendrick is committed to taking steps to ensure that we meet the diverse needs of our clients. Where necessary, we will devise procedures to deliver services that meet specific needs arising from clients’ ethnic or cultural background, gender, religion or belief, sexual orientation, disabilities, age or other relevant factors. We will do so only where this is permitted by the relevant anti-discrimination legislation.

 

In our dealings with third-parties, we will not unlawfully discriminate. We operate a merit-based system and we instruct counsels and experts on the basis of their skills, qualifications, expertise, experience, ability, and track record. We also take into consideration factors such as specialist knowledge and cost-efficiency for the benefit of our clients. We will not accept instructions from a client to select a barrister or an expert wholly or partly based on protected characteristics or the absence thereof. If necessary, we may cease acting for such a client.

 

Albright Kendrick selects suppliers solely based on their suitability, expertise, synergy, and cost-effectiveness. We will not unlawfully discriminate when selecting suppliers.

 

Suppliers includes suppliers of goods and services to Albright Kendrick in any or all of its locations and includes outsourced service providers and other third parties involved in the provision of goods or services to the firm or our clients.

 

Albright Kendrick does not tolerate discrimination and we take very seriously any complaint of discrimination, and we act promptly to investigate such complaints on behalf of clients or other third-parties.
